I write. I speak. I advocate. I am Markeisha Washington, the owner and founder of Washington Law, PLLC. I earned my B.A. in psychology and political science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After graduation, I attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming an attorney. During my time there, I was a member of two National Moot Court Teams and graduated in the 10% of her class, Cum Laude.
Prior to forming, Washington Law, PLLC, I spent several years as a County Prosecutor, where I gained a tremendous amount of trial experience. For the next several years, the courtroom was my battlefield. As a skilled litigator for over a decade, I have represented clients on criminal, family and civil litigation matters. Realizing my passion is helping entrepreneurs and small business owners realize their dream, I made the decision to restructure my firm and focus solely on Business Law.
I work directly with small businesses owners as both an advisor and a collaborative partner to provide practical and straightforward legal assistance. I strive to help small business owners operate in a way that minimizes potential legal problems down the road. Although we don’t like to think about death, unfortunately, we must all prepare for it. At Washington Law, I will assist you in preparing for future succession for your spouse, children, family, etc., so that you can have a peace of mind that they will be legally protected.
I am dedicated to working with small business owners to help them start and grow their businesses to the point where they can thrive. Can’t wait to meet you!
